Faouzia Ouihya (born 5 July 2000), known mononymously as Faouzia, is a Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter and musician.
As of June 2021, her Spotify profile has 2.9 million monthly listeners.
She was born in Casablanca, Morocco and moved with her family at the age of one to Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Manitoba in Canada, before settling in Carman, Manitoba. She speaks fluent English, French, and Arabic
Faouzia is reputed for her colossal 3.7 vocal range which spans from the tenor note of C#3 to the whistle note of A6. Aside from her colossal range she's able to demonstrate, she's also known for her technical superiority and prowess over mixed register. Her singing style derived an amalgamation of current pop and her homeland Arabic influences which included excessively complex strings of melismas, swift vibrato and deliberate voice cracks. Due to her deep and sultry vocals, she's been compared to the likes of Adele, Beyonce and Shakira.
